Ranked and Unranked Options

PreviousVotingNextRanking and Unranking Methods

Last updated 2 days ago

To save voter time and accurately represent what a voter's preferences are, options can exist in one of two states.

  • Unranked options: Options below a black line called the "option divider" are considered “unranked” and are equally weighed.

  • Ranked options: Options above the black line are considered "ranked" and weighted according to their rank order.

Because unranked options are weighted equally, you can leave anything you don't care about unranked. TLDR: Voters only need to rank the options they care about.

If you haven't voted previously in a specific MetaPoll all your options will start in the "Unranked" position.

To save you time, all options of your next vote will start in the position of your previous vote.
