Viewing Vote History

You can view your vote history on a MetaPoll by clicking the "Votes" tab within a MetaPoll. You will also automatically be taken here after you successfully cast a new vote.
On the left side where snapshot number and date would normally be in results tab, we have the sequential vote number as well as the date and time the vote occurred. On the right side you can use the arrow buttons to move forward and backwards through your voting history or open the vote calendar to pick a specific vote.
You can also click on the info button beside the vote time to open the info panel. Here you can see more detailed metadata about the vote.
Voter Address: is the address that signed the vote.
Vote Time: is the time that the vote was signed (converted to your local time zone).
UTC Timestamp: is a complete UTC timestamp of exactly when the vote was signed.
Vote Number: is the sequential number voted in this MetaPoll. #2 means that this was the 2nd time this address voted on this MetaPoll.
MetaPoll Version: is the version number of the MetaPoll when the vote was signed.
Voter Signature: is the cryptographic signature of the vote's data.
You will see all the options as you ranked them except now, they are locked in order you voted. You'll even still see the divider showing which options you ranked and which options you left unranked.
No, we don't share your vote history publicly. Only the signed in wallet is authorized to view their vote history. This means that the "votes" tab will show the unique vote history data of the account that is logged in. Disclaimer: There's a none zero chance that some super smart people might be able to deduce how some accounts voted in some circumstances even if we don't show them your vote. However, this seems to be quite unlikely to happen.
Currently, we couldn't compute the MetaPoll results without having access to the voting data, however as we have available resources, our goal is to move to a fully private voting architecture. We'd like to not know what you voted for, yet we can still compute the results. Sounds kind of impossible right? Yea, it's not easy, but that won't stop us from trying anyway. 😂
If you want to share your vote history with others, that is up to you. You can screenshot the options and post wherever you'd like, we can't stop you and that's not our business.
You now know a bunch about your voting history!
You can explore the child options and layers in the of a MetaPoll.
