If you prefer to learn by having objectives to complete, this is the place for you.
Objectives:
Once inside the MetaPoll you will be in the Results view by default. The results view is the aggregated votes of all voters in the MetaPoll.
New results are automatically and continuously generated according to the cadence variable {every: day or week or month}, each new result is called a snapshot and is sequentially numbered starting from #1 for the first snapshot.
Each snapshot contains a complete set of the aggregated option tree as well as integrity proofs and other metadata.
Treasury Pricing, Asset Composition, Treasury Size are all examples of options in the option set. Each option has a rank. Options of higher ranks must be fulfilled before lower rank options.
All options can have children, and their children can have children (and so on). Going into the child options of an option is called going down a "layer". Each higher layer option you saw in the above ^^ image derives it's meaning dynamically from the community by the child options nested within it. You can open up the child options of an option by clicking the right side of the option with the number and arrow.
We've gone down a layer into the child options of "Treasury Size". None of these child options have any children of their own so you do not see other arrows to go further.
The definition of desired treasury size is set by the rank of the child options show below.
You can go back up a layer by either hitting the back button on the left, or by clicking "Root layer" in the layer nav bar.
Feel free to explore different MetaPolls and different Option trees. One of the powerful things about MetaPoll is the way it explicitly encodes preference in this nested tree structure.

To begin voting, click on the big button at the bottom called "Enter voting mode".
You can check to see how many voting tokens you have by clicking on the bottom button that says "Votes: - Power: - ". After you click it, a window will open that shows how many "Eligible votes" you have. If Eligible votes is 1 or more, you can vote, otherwise if Eligible votes is 0 then any vote you try to cast in that MetaPoll will not be considered valid.
Remember, if you do not have correct tokens to vote, the effort you've put into voting will be wasted!
In voting mode you'll notice there are new symbols displayed on the left side of each option and there is a black line. All options below the black line are considered "unranked".
To rank an option you need to move it above the black line. There are three ways to rank an option.
You can pick it up by the dotted handle on the left to drag and drop the option.
You can click the arrow button to "quick rank" the option.
You can click into the rank field and manually enter the exact rank you want the option to have.
To minimize effort for voters, MetaPoll only requires you to rank the options you care about, anything you don't care about can be left unranked.

When you've ranked the options to your satisfaction, click on the "Cast Vote" button at the bottom right of the screen.
Your wallet will open up and will show you a digest of the way you've ordered all options in the tree plus the timestamp that this is happening at, we call this your "ballot".
When you "sign" you are cryptographically signing this ballot in a way that only your account can do. Meaning not us, or anyone else can fake this signature.
Only validly signed signatures with your keys are able to be accepted into the MetaPoll.
