After you're , you're ready to start adding options.

Adding Options

If you'd like to add them manually inside the MetaPoll UI you can start by clicking the "new option" button at the bottom of the screen.

You can also add a new option with the keyboard hot key shift + enter

Naming Options

Once you click "New Option" a new option will appear and automatically be ready for you to enter text to name it.

Once you've typed in your name you can click out to finish the naming. If you want to rename any option just click back into the text field and make the edits you see fit.

Try adding a few more more options in the same way to get the feel for it.

Currently there is a limit of 50 options per layer. However if the community feels there is a practical reason to add more, we will gladly increase this number.

Removing an option

You can easily remove options by clicking the trash can icon on the right side of the option.

There's no warning message if you're removing a single option.

However, we realize potentially deleting dozens of options with a single click is anxiety inducing😵, so if you try to remove an option with children, it will ask for confirmation.

Adding Child options

To add a child option, click on the icon with a plus on the right side of the option. This will bring you inside the layer of this option and allow you to add options within it.

Adding options within the layer

When you click the add child option button from the previous step, you are taken inside the Alpha option layer.

You can now add any child options you'd like within Alpha.

Once you're finished creating options in the Alpha layer, you can add children to any of the child options you created (making the original option on the root layer a Grandparent 👴 👵), or you can go back up a layer and add children to a different option on the root layer.
