The main card of a MetaPoll shows key information at a glance.

Title

The MetaPoll Title is displayed in the upper left hand corner. It succinctly explains what the MetaPoll's function is.

Clicking the title is the primary way you can enter a MetaPoll.

DAO and Author

The bottom left hand corner displays which DAO this MetaPoll is connected to and which address authored it.

You can click on the author account to follow them or see other MetaPolls they've publicly authored.

Number of Votes

The number on the right hand side shows the total number of votes that were included in the latest snapshot from all active votes in that MetaPoll.

Note that this is NOT the total number of accounts that have voted, it is the total number of votes.

Reason: unique accounts can easily be spun up to perform a sybil attack.

Voted indicator

If the signed in account as previously voted on the displayed MetaPoll before, then there will be a blue check mark and if the logged in account has not voted in that MetaPoll previously then the check mark will be greyed out, as show in the image below.

Bookmarks

You can save MetaPolls for fast access. Simply click the bookmark icon, and when it becomes filled in, that means it's saved. To unbookmark a MetaPoll, simply click again and the bookmark icon will go back to the hollow state and be removed from your saved list of MetaPolls.

Sharing

You can quickly copy the URL of any MetaPolly to your clipboard by clicking on the share icon.

After you click the share button once you can now paste it anywhere else to share the MetaPoll.

MetaPoll Info

You can look at extra information about a MetaPoll by clicking on the info button shown below.

After clicking the info button, a panel will open up showing detailed information about the MetaPoll.

General MetaPoll Info

  • Visibility is if the MetaPoll is publically viewable or private.

  • Current Owner is the address that currently owns this MetaPoll. At a later date we plan to make ownership trackable by an NFT so it can be transfered to different addresses for decentralization purposes.

  • Creation Date is the date that the MetaPoll was first created.

  • MetaPoll Version is the version number that this MetaPoll is currently at. Any change to the MetaPoll such as adding, removing or renaming options, changing voting tokens, and some other parameters will change the version number. All version history is saved so it can be audited by the community. Votes inside a MetaPoll also record what version number the MetaPoll was on when the voter cast their vote.

  • Next Snapshot is a live count down timer until the next snapshot will occur, and votes submitted before that time will be included in the next snapshot. (We recommend submitting your vote at least 30 seconds before the next snapshot to avoid it being missed if a network error occurs.)

Latest Snapshot Info

All the information in this section is about the latest snapshot of this MetaPoll.

  • Snapshot Number is which snapshot all the following data will be about and is always the most current Snapshot in sequential ordering. If it says #132 it means there have been 132 snapshots and the next snapshot will be 133rd.

  • Creation Date is the date that this snapshot was created on.

  • Creation Time is the time (converted to your local time zone) that the Snapshot was created at.

Next, let's dive into a MetaPoll and learn how to view it!

Voting Decay Cycle is the number of days until voting power decays in half. Please see

Active Votes in Snapshot will be the same number that is displayed in the main card. It's the total number of votes in the last recorded snapshot. You can view the dedicated page on to learn how votes are calculated.

Snapshot Location is a link to the block on Arweave where the Snapshot is stored forever. Read the to learn more.

Voter Data Integrity Proof (VDIP) is a link to a Verkle proof that allows any voter to mathematically prove that their valid vote was included in this snapshot. Read the to learn more.

Voter Compute Integrity Proof (VCIP) is a link to a Zero Knowledge Compute proof that proves that all calculations, mutations to create the results were done completely, and correctly with no fraud. Read the to learn more.

Voting token and weight is a list of one or more tokens that are eligible to add votes to accounts that hold this token(s), additionally it shows how many votes each token receives. Read the to learn more.
